Our quartz vein eggs are a composite of agate and quartz with both subtle and distinctive veins running throughout.  Agate has long been regarded as a collectible specimen dating back as far as 63BC when Mithradates The Great, king of Ponthus had a collection of over 4000 agates bowls.  Quartz is the second most abundant mineral on earth and has been verified and dated as far back back as prehistoric times when it was shaped and used as tools and weapons.
