Goniatites lived in Carboniferous shelf seas, occurring locally in swarms over reef structures. The shape of its shell suggests that they were poor swimmers. These fossils come from Morocco and measure approximately 2 1/2 - 3". Extremely clear and well defined; these gorgeous fossils have been polished to reveal their beautiful spiral chambers.
